We're not a generic review aggregator: we combine structured data, editorial picks, and community input so the guide stays useful for the Indian community first.
DesiScore™ is our single 0–100 signal designed to reflect how strong a restaurant looks for desi diners — using transparent inputs instead of a black box.
Phase 1 weights Google ratings heavily plus sentiment signals. Phase 2 will fold in more sources (e.g. Yelp) and health inspection context so the score matches how locals actually decide where to go.
Our mission is simple: make it easier for the DFW Indian community to find great food and places — with listings owners can trust and readers can actually use.
DFW Curry was built from scratch by a single developer from the DFW Indian community as a hobby and passion project. What started as a side project has grown into a comprehensive guide covering 445+ restaurants, 193+ temples and grocery stores across 24 DFW cities.
As a solo developer working on this in my spare time alongside a full-time job, I'm updating and verifying restaurant information city by city, week by week. Some details like hours, phone numbers and websites may not be 100% accurate yet.
